Make A Difference Today
The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it. Albert Einstein
"Life happens everyday, 'Make A Difference Today!'"

The Memory Box Artist Program (http://www.memoryboxes.org/) is comprised of a group of artists that donate their time and money to create memory boxes for grieving families. Each box is created with great love and a sincere wish to reach out in support and understanding. As artists, we hope that these boxes brings some small comfort, and the knowledge that we know that every child is special and very loved.

I found out about The Memory Box Artists Program from a friend who volunteers to cuddle newborns at a local hospital.  I felt that I would like to participate in making memory boxes because of several family members who have lost infants and at the same time, have the satisfaction of creating something beautiful.
I’m an artist who suffered a stroke eight years ago.  Though I can’t do realistic painting as I once did, I can accomplish some decorative painting techniques and do decoupage without difficulty.  But I have to have a real purpose to provide the motivation as I find it impossible to “just practice.”  Mostly I needed to experience the satisfaction of, once again, completing something that will have a real impact on someone’s life.
Follow this link to their FAQ page, I find it tells the story very well.
