Everyone Has Pain ©3/13/07 by Andrea L Hines
If there is one thing I have learned in my journey it is that everyone has a story. Everyone - I mean everyone - has had pain, or suffered, been disappointed, or experienced rejection on some level.
You may never get to know my story and I may never truly know yours, but one
thing for sure: a kind word or gesture can break a cycle of pain. A warm greeting
or unsolicited compliment might be the turning point in someone’s life. A simple, “God loves you” may be just the reminder someone needs to hold on, because they’re not forsaken.
Don’t be so caught up in your own journey that you can’t take time for someone else along the way. Speak life to someone today! Ask God to bless them and do something supernatural in their life; just because He’s God - just because He can.
Act in love instead of frustration when someone can’t seem to ‘get it right’; have a little patience with the clerk who may not serve you with lightning speed. Show a little compassion for the homeless because a simple change in circumstance and it could very well be you. Pray - I mean really pray - for someone other than yourself and your own family.
Taking an extra minute for someone else will make a difference in their life - and will most certainly make a difference in yours.
